The 'Valley Boyz' Pop-Up was a unique fan experience designed for Phoenix Suns player Kelly Oubre Jr. Kelly wanted to foster deeper community connections and we were open to helping. As the lead, I oversaw multiple elements that collectively ensured the event's success.
In a Project Manager role, I coordinated with the various stakeholders and created a roadmap that facilitated meaningful engagement between all the parties – the Suns, their fans, and the local community. As the Event Manager, I managed logistics, brought in crowd-control, and curated an unforgettable fan experience. Central to this, of course, was the personal interactions between Kelly Oubre Jr., Suns' players and fans.
In my capacity as a Branding Strategist, I executed a strategy that encapsulated the Valley Boyz' energy, vigor, and community ethos. Every detail, from unique merchandise to event design, reinforced the Valley Boyz' brand identity and inclusion of the local community.
I crafted a media plan leveraging the Suns' players' social media presence, local media partnerships, and grassroots outreach. This Media Strategy plan resulted in significant anticipation and impressive event turnout – 4-5K attendees for the 6 hour event.
Overall, the 'Valley Boyz' Pop-Up event was a testament to the power of my team's ability to follow direction in strategic project management, event planning, branding, customer engagement, and media strategy. This fan-centric initiative not only strengthened community ties but also deepened the bond between the Phoenix Suns, Kelly Oubre Jr., and their fans.
